Hello all, I have been completely and absolutely consumed by the recently attempted attack on the democracy of the country in which we reside. I've been so scatterbrained whether it's thinking about donnie, Q, proud boys, josh hawley, or ted cruz. These are people / entities that don't deserve to have their names capitalized.
One thing that I cannot get my mind off of right now is the lack of talk about how this was not simply a group of sheep being herded into the saddest shit of my fucking lifetime, but rather a thought out, measured action. This isn't any ole day in the neighborhood for Capital Hill - they were confirming the goddamn president!!!!!!
With that being said - to the people saying, “oh where are BLM now that the police shot a white woman?” Sorry, but these people were attempting a coup, and intended to directly harm the well-being of our government officials. Pipe bombs were found, guns, molotov's, this was not just a protest. When that woman was shot she was told by police / secret service to stay back, do not press onwards. What did she do? She tried climbing through a window while she had a pistol pointed at her.
Ashli Babbit was acting as a domestic terrorist.

If that video doesn’t convince you that these people intended to incite terror, and to commit to an armed attack against our government, then please educate yourself.
And what was she even pressing onwards for? To compare these people to BLM protestors is a joke, disgrace, and an absolute display of a lack of empathy.

Fuck him! Fuck the whole thing altogether. It’s a complete shitstorm. I am sick of having to use my brainpower on thinking about white supremacists (they were there, there’s no fucking denying it!), anti-semetics (see camp auschwitz), racists (do i have to prove this one?), islamaphobes, transphobes, anti-vaxxer's, the list goes on! However, as long as they exist in the same country that I am currently existing in, I'm going to have to think, stress, worry, write, and read about it. None of them support art, or the youth, or love, or compassion. The man who is sitting in the oval office very publicly harassed individuals and was in turn praised for it, was even turned into a folk hero for it.
Let‘s look back on some highlights:

The fact that millions upon millions of Americans have heard these words and continued to give him votes, money, support, and even armed resilience has saddened me so deeply over the past four years.
There must be a mental health crisis in this country that should be addressed, caused by the fantasy land created by Reagan and those who came before, and followed afterwards. Mentally healthy people do not believe QANON/ MAGA rhetoric so much so that they are willing to attempt a coup.
wizardzonly, fools is meant to be a platform for free expression. I am frustrated, fed up, disturbed and outright sad, and this is my outlet. But Biden will be president soon, and I really don’t want to question whether that is fact or not - too scary.
I’m an immigrant. There’s so much about this place that I love and so much that I hate. It’s okay to say that The United States is not the greatest nation on Earth, that’s okay. What happened on Capital Hill is a glaring example of where misled nationalism and pride can bring a group of people who are down on some depressingly hard times. The United States has some serious societal issues to solve, which isn’t going to be easy.
Anyway, I hope to make cool things for wizardzonly all the time...and we are!! And we want to feature things made by others - aka you. In the meantime, we will be posting all of our work, which is all coming along verrrrry well.
Lastly, this is how I currently feel. This site belongs to Stephanie and I (Conall), and we have the right to post whatever we damn want! If this post upsets you, that’s okay. I will speak to you with respect and treat you as an equal human being if you return that favor to me. However, the people on Capital Hill have lost the privilege of deserving respect, and they’re evil, monstrous, sociopathic idiots, whom I feel so sad for, and I hope that they can recover their mental health someday. But that is just my opinion :) I want to communicate and converse with people about topics such as this one, and not just if you agree with me.
